Edward's responsibilities include sourcing investment opportunities, and over-seeing the underwriting and asset management of all of OPC's investments. This includes the identification of potential investment opportunities, supervision of the due diligence conducted on acquisition target and the implementation of business plans once an asset is acquired.
From 2008 to 2010, Edward worked at Square Mile Capital Management, a $1.5 billion institutional commercial real estate private equity fund. There he focused primarily on the acquisition of opportunistic commercial real estate and debt investments. Prior to Square Mile, Edward worked from 2005 to 2008 at RBS Greenwich Capital, with a focus on the origination of commercial real estate mortgage, and higher leveraged mezzanine and preferred equity investments.
In 2000, Edward co-founded Kirkland Capital Group which focuses on the acquisition and asset management of residential real estate assets in Southern California, primarily located in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.
Edward has an MBA from Harvard Business School (2005) and a B.A. with honors in Economics from Harvard University (2000). Between his undergraduate and business school studies, Edward worked for Salomon Smith Barney based out of their New York and São Paulo, Brazil offices.
